JOB DESCRIPTION - Store Worker / Cashier
These are full-time, 40 hours per week positions. The store is open Monday through Saturday. Days/hours of
work may vary, depending on staffing needs.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The Bishop’s Attic is a non-profit second-hand retail store. We recycle used and new items donated to the
store to sell to donate to charity. These positions are responsible for assisting with the merchandising of
the recycle process to include sorting, tagging, and stocking, and performing other minor related duties as
assigned. If cashiering duties are performed, additional compensation will apply.
EDUCATION
Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
General Requirements:
Applicant must be 18 years or older and have reliable transportation to/from work.
Applicant must maintain a safe working environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective
Equipment) as required.
Applicant must communicate effectively with managers regarding customer concerns and
employee matters.
Applicant must have the ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers.
Applicant must provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
Applicant should have good organizational and time management skills and be dependable.
Applicant must be clean and neat when they report to work.
Applicant will assure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
Applicant will perform minor custodial duties as directed by managers.
Cashier Specific Job Responsibilities (if performing cashiering duties):
Applicant must have basic arithmetic skills.
Applicant will register sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers'
purchases.
Applicant will collect payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and
make change for cash customers.
Applicant will enter price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must be physically capable of reaching, stretching, grabbing, pushing, lifting, holding,
twisting, bending, turning, walking, shifting, kneeling, and engaging in other physical movements
required by the job in a safe and efficient manner.
Applicant must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds without assistance; may lift over 10 pounds
with or without assistance.
